In the 1960s, after relocating from Dalton, GA—the carpet capital of the world—Amber’s grandparents opened a flooring company in Coastal Georgia. Her grandfather, known locally as “the carpet man,” was trusted in homes, hotels, and new construction projects throughout the area.

Amber was just six years old when she started helping her grandmother, tagging along on job sites and falling in love with design. That early exposure shaped the passion that drives FloorDesign today.
